Eden FX has created a number of CG visual effects for a special network television presentation in 3D for an upcoming episode of NBC's "Chuck."
"Chuck vs. the Third Dimension" will air on Monday, February 2 on NBC, and viewers will need to wear a pair of 3D glasses to get the full experience of that special presentation.
Visual effects include a knife and tranquilizer darts being thrown at the audience, a graphic hand grenade explosion, and the inside look at a tunnel within an air vent, among others.
Dan Curry, VFX Supervisor for "Chuck," said, "Eden FX did a great job on this episode⦠they really understood the 3D process and made a very valuable contribution to this show."
Adds John Gross, Eden's In-House VFX Supervisor, "It's not everyday that we get to throw knives and darts at millions of TV viewers sitting in the safety of their living rooms!" In addition to Mr. Gross, Eden FX Digital Artists Rick Ramirez, Fred Pienkos and Sean Scott also contributed to the 3D episode of "Chuck."
